General Information/Philosophy of Care
Between 1987 and 1992 Dr Sandquist undertook his specialist training in orthopaedics following the Swedish Board of Health specialist training scheme.
In September 1992 he became a consultant at Hassleholm/Kristianstad Hospital and in October 1994 then became a consultant at Lowenstromska Hospital.
Since 1997 he has been Head of the total joint replacement unit within the department of orthopaedics at the Danderyd Hospital, Sweden. He has now completed over 1000 total hip arthroplasties, 500 hip revisions, 750 total knee arthroplasties and 100 knee revisions.
Dr Sandqvist has published papers in professional journals reviewing prospective clinical outcomes of hip revision surgery.
