Dr Ammitzboell has a broad education in most orthopaedic fields. He has experience of hand surgery, arthroscopic surgery, foot and ankle surgery as well as all kinds of acute surgery.

His surgical fields are:
• Arthroplasties carried out more than 1500 hip and knee prostheses
• Fractures including fixation with ring fixators, using the llizarov frame.
• Foot and Ankle a-tendon lengthening, ankle and subtalo-fusions, hallux disorders
• Shoulder, Arm open shoulder surgery of most kinds, no experience with shoulder arthroscopy, but with most hand surgery
He has worked as assistant professor at Rigshospitalet and taught both students and doctors in his position at Aalborg University Hospital.
