General Information/Philosophy of Care

Dr Vereczkey completed his undergraduate medical training at the Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest, Hungary in 1984. 

He worked at the Postgraduate Medical Institute in Budapest and in 1989 he obtained his specialist registration in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. 

In 1992 he acquired the Diploma of the European Academy of Anaesthesiology and in 1996 he obtained his specialist registration in Cardiology. 

Besides his clinical practice he worked as Medical Director of Second Opinion Hungary Ltd, a Telemedicine service between Budapest and UCSF-Stanford. 

In 1997 he was included in Marquis Who’s Who for his achievements in research of tissue oxygenation and non-invasive monitoring. 

In his 16 years of experience as a specialist anaesthetist he has worked in almost all fields of anaesthesia and intensive therapy performing more than 4000 EDA-Spinal procedures in Obstetrics and Orthopaedics. 

He has two inventions, a 3D-ECG and an ICG-Plethysmograph to evaluate endothelial dysfunction. 

Dr. Vereczkey has published articles in professional journals and has chapters in books both in Hungary and in the USA.
