Liz has worked at Shepton Mallet Treatment Centre since December 2008.

Liz is a Registered General Nurse and has an MA in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care. She has gained a wide range of leadership and management experience across the acute sector of the NHS and in charitable organisations, as well as working for the Royal College of Nursing as a National facilitator for the clinical leadership programme.

For a period of five years Liz worked as a charitable volunteer managing cultural change across multi-national and multi-lingual professional and voluntary groups, resulting in professional development programmes, improved health facilities and health promotion programmes within the Eastern Bloc countries. Liz worked independently in leadership development and project management during this five year period.

Liz passionately believes in leadership development and succession planning, investing in multi-disciplinary teams to improve the patient experience.
