Dr Nemes graduated in 1982 from the Budapest Semmelweis University, Budapest. Between 1982 and 1986 he undertook his specialist training in orthopaedics following the Hungarian Board of Health specialist training scheme and specialised in orthopaedics in 1986.
Dr Nemes worked in the Orthopaedic Department of the Teaching Hospital of Szeged University in Kecskemet, Hungary, from 1986 to 1998. During this time he spent two months at Bochum University of Orthopaedics, Germany, and also visited the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden in a fellowship programme studying arthroscopy and sports surgery.
Since 1992, Dr Nemes has gained a broad experience in general orthopaedic surgery, including major joint replacements, arthroscopic and ACL surgery. He has extended his knowledge and practice in hip and knee revisions since 2003.
