Mr Thomas Hotopp

Consultant General Surgeon

Mr Hotopp studied medicine at the University of Leipzig in Germany and obtained his MD in 1996. He continued his surgical training in the surgical departments in Bad Frankenhausen and Soemmerda, Germany.

From 2005 - 2008 he was the Head of the Department for General Surgery and was responsible for the Endoscopy Unit. He also participated in the Emergency Department. From 2008 - 2009 Mr Hotopp was a Specialist Surgeon and the Head of the Department for Emergency Medicine in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

Mr Hotopp joined Shepton Mallet NHS Treatment Centre as Consultant General Surgeon in May 2009.
