Mr Kvas graduated from the Medical School Komensky University Bratislava in 1984. He was a Surgical Trainee at university hospitals in Slovakia and obtained his full specialist qualification in 1993.

Between 1994 and 2005 he provided complex general surgical and endoscopy services as a Consultant Surgeon in NHS Malta. He was appointed as Consultant Surgeon in Western Isles Hospital, North West Scotland in August 2005 where he developed breast and endoscopy services.

Among various surgical activities Mr Kvas was involved in The Scottish National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme as an Endoscopist in 2008 and 2009. He has been serving as a Consultant Surgeon in Greater Manchester Surgical Centre (NHS Treatment Centre) since April 2009.
