Mr. Lassu graduated from the University of Pecs, Hungary in 1998 and began his career at the MAV Hospital of Buda, Budapest as a Clinical Resident.

He obtained his specialist qualification in general surgery in 2003 from the Haynal Imre Centre for Medical and Health Sciences, Hungary and went on to become a Specialist Vascular Surgeon in 2007.

He is a member of the Hungarian College Of Surgeons, Hungarian Medical Council and the Hungarian College of Vascular Surgeons. Mr Lassu has full GMC registration on the specialist register for general surgery.

Mr. Lassu worked in the General, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery Department for Kaposi Mor Teaching County Hospital, Hungary, from 2007-2009, where he led the laparoscopic group of the department and regularly taught surgical trainees and medical students and was involved in wide range of elective and emergency surgery.

He has worked in hospitals all over the UK including Leicester, Manchester, Durham, Nottingham and London.
Mr. Lassu joined UKSH as a Consultant General Surgeon in September 2011.
