Dr Kocsis graduated from the Hungarian National Emergency and Air Ambulance Services, where he went on to become the Head of the Ambulance Station. He worked in anaesthesia and intensive therapy at the St Rókus Hospital, Budapest.
In 2007, he became Resident Medical Officer at Scottish Regional Treatment Centre, Stracathro Hospital, Scotland, later taking up the position of Consultant Anaesthetist at the Royal South Hants Hospital, Southampton.
