The 2010 Independent Healthcare Awards acknowledge achievements within the independent health and care sector and pay tribute to the teams and individuals that have excelled within their field.

In the category of ‘Healthcare Outcomes’ nominations are required to “demonstrate clear evidence of genuine improvements in healthcare outcomes through the provision of high-quality, coordinated programmes of patient care, education, research and advocacy, either in a single specialty or across the clinical range”. UKSH has met these requirements by continually striving to improve the services it offers, responding to patient feedback and maintaining high clinical standards.

To be considered in the category of ‘Hotel Services’ nominees had to “encompass outstanding achievement in food preparation and provision, and the prevention and management of healthcare acquired infections”. These requirements are core values for UKSH as part of its mission to offer the best possible patient experience.

The winners of each category will be announced on the 14th September 2010.
