Dental Extraction

UKSH offers surgical extractions of teeth and wisdom teeth. Surgical tooth extractions are required when teeth cannot be easily accessed, either because they have broken under the gum line or have not erupted fully. The procedure is performed either under local anaesthesia or intravenous conscious sedation to make your treatment as comfortable as possible.

Conditions that require surgical removal include cracked teeth, impacted teeth and severely decayed teeth. A small incision into the gum is usually required and in some cases, the tooth may be split into multiple pieces to facilitate its removal.

Dental extraction is performed as a day case procedure and is available at Cirencester, Devizes, Emersons Green and Shepton Mallet NHS Treatment Centres.
