Mr Va Faye’s experience as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon began in 2005 with a locum appointment at West Middlesex Hospital and Ravenscourt Park Hospital, London and subsequently a substantive appointment at Salisbury District General. He moved to St Richards Hospital in Chichester in 2009, focusing predominantly on lower limb revision arthroplasty & trauma. Particular focus was also on periprosthetic fractures and treatment and prevention of infected arthroplasty. He also set up the service for open and arthroscopic treatment of femoro-acetabular impingement and related soft tissue pathologies. Consequent to this, he developed new techniques in treatment of soft tissue pathologies around the hip.

He enjoys teaching and training and is a recognised national orthopaedic trauma trainer and has been active with the Deaneries and the Royal College in training junior and specialist surgeons. He continues to be active in research with up to date works on aspects of revision hip and knee surgery.
