Mr. Lovasz graduated as a Medical Doctor at the University of Pecs in Hungary. He finished his training in orthopaedic surgery in 1991 before working as a consultant and in various academic positions at the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Pecs for several years. Mr Lovasz then spent two years on the fellowship at Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital.
Following this experience he became Consultant Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon in Al Ain, UAE for three years. In 2004, he started work within the UK independent sector system at Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre and later at Cheshire and Merseyside NHS Treatment Centre.
He had performed more than 3500 surgical procedures in the UK including hip and knee replacements, knee revisions, knee arthroscopies, hand and foot surgery before joining UKSH in July 2011. His main field of interest is lower limb arthroplasty.
